Best Decision Ever..

The best decision ever this April... was to skip a day of work...

I was undecided on Friday night before & after dinner at Zanmai Sushi @ The Garden... they got very nice set dishes...with Gale, Laotung, Ting, Adi, Chin and gale's other girlfriend (shin wei?..) about tagging along (gale & laotung) for Genting the next day...

Mostly because boss specifically told me to settle some V.O. on saturday with Lim... :p

I was so torn up that nite.. not wanting to waste what little time & opportunities to hang out with them after their long absence... i texted Lim that nite & he said it is up to me... he'll be fine with whatever.. Still undecided...~~                                                  

I went to work on the next day (Saturday morning).. reached office... turned on my laptop.. & i realized that my mind was else where.. i quickly texted Laotung asking whether they're still still sleeping or having breakfast.. (i knew with him around.. they won't wake up too early...:)..)

I was in luck.. they're still at home.. & my boss haven't came in yet... SO NOT UNDECIDED ANYMORE..~~  :)..

So i quickly went down to admin, fill up leave form, went back upstairs to turn off my pc & bid sayonara to my colleagues.. all of them saying that i have only 2 hrs left on the clock (office hour)... i don't care...~~!@! With a final message 'DoNT TELL BOSS where i'm going a....'.~~ Gambling..~~ I packed up my bag & give gale another call & 2 meet up with them at my place.. & have breakfast 2gether at the DIM SUM restaurant (nice big Dim Sum..o & Lao Sa Pao..) near my freaking office...!~

After losing RM100 at 'Tai Sai' & '3 cards'... we then went down around 7.00pm to catch Man U vs Chelsea at Soul'ed Out @ Sri Hartamas where we were seated next to Hans Isaac & Harith Iskandar's table after waiting for a few minutes for an available table.. The food was delicious...~ ordered speghetti, nachos, fries & a bucket of Tiger... Laotung's treat..:)

Man U lost to Chelsea- Which needles to say.. doesn't affect me emotionally at all..~

Flower in Cars..

I've always wonder Why would people put flowers in their car..i.e: at the back of the car in the space between the glass and speaker..

They might say that bacause it looks nice... but it always reminded me of a hearse....!!~~ My PapaRoach used to tell me that when i was younger... the time when i also thought that it looks nice... :)

Job Interview, Passport Renewal 2nd attempt & Root Canal

INTERVIEW
I sucked at my interview.. I couldn't even answer the simplest questions asked.. the thing is, i knew what the answer is but i don't have the confidence to support the answer/ theory that i have..

To top that off, I answered 1 question wrong.. And i was asked of the pricing of Black pipe and GI pipe.. if Katherine were to ask me that a couple of years back... i might come up with the answer.. i haven't been doing any quotation for pipes for more than a year.. !!

Argh..!! I wouldn't hire ME based on that interview... Sometimes i think i sounded rude... i am and will be intimidated by Katherine if she were to be my Lady Boss... I could already imagine how she would scold me for doing something wrong..!!

I did get a few couple of things done that day..

PASSPORT RENEWAL 2ND ATTEMPT

Managed to get my passport after the 1st failed attempt...

At the Subang Terminal- Games Exhibition was ON that day... People were playing Guitar Heroes, Race Car Games & Soccer Games

I reached the Subang imigration branch right after 11.30am.. the KIOSK just closes and anounced that it will be open at 1.30pm.. so i queued up for the counter service.. there were 140+ people before it would be my turn... and stated on the notice board is that after 3pm, the passport collection will be on the next day...

I waited for 2hrs.. and still there's 40+ people b4 it's my turn for my form to be checked..

Before it was 1.30pm i went to the KIOSK and i saw a few people waiting there too... when it was opened.. this aunty & uncle ran right to the front of the 'line'.. which pisses me off... but i was still 4th or 5th in-line so i let it go since the guy that queued in front of me never said a word too... the imigration guy anounced that we can get our passport around 4pm on that same day.. so, waited another 2 hrs to collect these guys...:-

I rushed back to Puchong for my dentist's appointment.. i still have plenty of time when i reached Bandar Puteri.. so, i decided to stock up on my cereal at GIANT.. when i refused to entertain a promoter girl at the entrance to teh supermarket .. she said ' thank you a.. aunty..".. WTF!!.... i told her to ' read between the line of my fingers'..!!  I hope that she saw it.... !!

 ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

I wasn't as nervous as i was on my 1st visit... my dentist started the cleaning of the nerve without any anaesthetic.. but then opted to inject some in the tooth.. but i didn't feel anything either... it was tolerable.. she first measured the root lenght after drilling hole in the tooth.. after x-raying it.. she started to clean the nerve which i thought she already did..!! The way she was cleaning the tooth.. i shoud be feeling lot's of pain and be swearing inside... but, i didn't feel a thing... and i didn't feel any discomfort after the root canal... i will be going for my 2nd visit next Tuesday.. my dentist asked, do i want a crown or just normal fillings...? I have no idea...~~

INTERVIEW, PASSPORT RENEWAL & DENTIST

I just got the call for an interview this saturday...  but i told them i won't be available 'coz i have an important meeting to attend, so i asked them to slot me in for next week.. so, katherine (caller) asked me to come by on Tuesday 10am.... i hope i can find that place & be on time for the interview..

I will make good use of my day off that day... so, i will go and renew my passport after the interview & then hopefully i can make it for my dentist appointment at 5.30pm...root canal... brr...r....

I looked like this when i went for my recent trip to the dentist chair...

Scared the shit out of me...

I've always been scared of going to the dentist, 'coz all i think about is how much they LOVE to hurt me... i was having a panick attack just by sitting at the waiting room.. trying to look brave in front of the little kids that were there too... i tried to think of other irrelevant stuff & do the inhale exhale breathing exercise.. IT DOESN'T WORK!!!

Having bad teeth doesn't help at all....~~!!

I guess my face will still be the same this coming Tuesday.... arghh!!~~~

Deadliest Catch Captain Phil Harris..

Huhu... :( while i was surfing the net trying to find out more about Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch..

I found out that my favourite skipper of the Cornelia Marie boat has died of a stroke February 11th this year.  He is 53 years old. I couldn't believe it.. I will miss the way he handled his sons' Josh & Jake constant sibling rivalry . Showing them Tough Love. His crab fart theory & his greasy mullet.

Who is gonna be the boat captain now..? 13th April will be the start of the new season in the US.. not sure when will they show it here..

New Work?

Hooi Ni ( a friend working in Singapore) called me yesterday, saying that she had submitted my resume to a fire fighting company and informed me that i should be getting an invite to an interview by next week. The company is located at Damansara. I am not familiar with Damansara but that is not the problem. In the other hand the traffic jam IS a problem. Very BAADD...

I hope i have time for the interview as my project is picking up speed this coming weeks.

The company is a fire fighting company while i am currently in a HVAC field.

Hooi Ni asked me if i really wanted to leave my current company that i have stayed on for 3 years.

I like my company, though the salary is not as i hoped it would be after working for so long. The perks:-

1) my company is strategically located in the heart of Foodland & convenience.
2) Oversea trip with the whole company.
3) Unlimited internet access.
4) Cute Colleague :)
5) Air cond sounds more superior than Fire Fighting... hehe...

Totally different from what i imagined where i would be now (workwise & lovelife) while i was still studying. I.e: 3.5k+ salary, would be madly in love with a guy who loves me as i loves him and travelling overseas on business etc.

I have an open offer from a consultant company. Saturday is an off day. Salary RM3k+. Company is at Subang.. near to where i am currently staying (compared to Damansara). But.... very tough work dealing and satisfying clients' needs & Bonus is low.. 1 month & no company trip...

Kang wanted me to come back & work in Sabah as a Medical Rep. Told me to submit my resume to MSD, i said ok... but didn't do it.. since i have to do it through their website..

I have made up my mind long ago that if i were to leave my current company, it would be because i have a better offer in salary & requires me to work in Singapore & with Saturday Off or alternately. So, lets just see how the interview goes. If i am called for.

Wai Ko's Wedding

Just came back from Ipoh- Butterworth trip to Wai Ko’s wedding dinner.. Shi Theng wasn’t invited.. I shouldn’t have been invited too, if it weren’t for LP… :p

Anyway, we arrived just as the wedding entourage were coming out of the junction of their house on their way over to the Bride’s residence.. talk about perfect timing… :) Ah Chai drove after 10 minutes of experiencing my mad driving skills from Ipoh to Butterworth.. blame my car steering wheel for shaking everytime I tried to slow down after accelerating at the hilly road….

While we were playing the traditional games between the Sisters & Brothers.. Wai Ko’s Sisters grabbed the Lead Sister’s hand while she had milk+something orange in both hands… causing the milk to spill on the floor… She doesn’t look happy at all.. she actually looked like she might cry.. which we later found out from Ah Piaw that she did.. :)… It’s their (the sisters) fault that they never let us pass after doing two of the nasty prank… 1) 5 brothers were to do push up 3-5 times while the groom lay/ sit on their back… 2) eating a combo of melted chocolate & stinky peas… 3) The milk & orange thingy combo….

Wai Ko said to the Sisters after they complained that we were too rough.. ‘Em wan Tak, Zhao Mou Wan La..’… translation- ‘If you can’t handled it.. then don’t play along….’

Ah Piaw offered to bring us around Butterworth/ Penang Island.. but we were too beat up to do anything than to go back to our hotel (Pearl View Hotel) and rest & watch Russel Peters make fun of almost all the races in the world… We called Shi Theng, but she was in BM (Bukit Mertajam).. we asked her to come and have a drink with us.. but in the end we never did meet up with her…

As for the dinner, It was at Ocean Restaurant.. It started quite early.. LP & I paid for Gale’s RM 50 each... I didn’t have enough cash at that time.. ehhe… *Gale.. if u don’t mind.. just let it be our Birthday present for you.. :p… I made sure Wai Ko knows that it’s from you.. He said thanks…

The next day, LP & I went for the free breakfast at the hotel.. pity Chai can’t join us since we only have 2 coupons.. But we did stopped by Ipoh to have lunch & my ‘White Coffee’.. Chai bought LP & I “Yim Kok Kai”.. Salted Chicken.. which later that nite, Una & Ah Pang said not as nice as the one in Salak South...hm...

Stopped by Chai’s house to look at his baby boy.. Then dropped LP at KJ station.. That’s just about summarized the whole trip..
