A New Opportunity

A friend of mine called me up last Thursday during the Completion Dinner for my paint company project.
Letting me know that his company is looking for someone to fill up an E&I position in his company. The friend is also a new employee for this O&G company. I AM interested, and here comes the BUT:-

1) I will be doing an Electronic & Instrument workscope- which i know nothing of and i almost failed my Electronic subject in college.
2) I am waiting for my bonus to come out early next year to pay for my Japan trip (28/4/2011-11/5/2011)
3) We were promised a company trip next year (also the same time frame as my personal Japan trip...shieeet!!)

Reality is..I can't really say anything since i didn't submit any resume to him yet. Forgot my external HD at home and my resume is in it.
I mean i gotta stop being scared and just do it! Yes i am scared.
It is not about ME anymore. I have to think for my family. Well i have my brother to think about my family. But.. no!! Let me have that reason for me to go move ahead.
CK's getting married next weekend.. My boss is probably planning a trip without me anyway.. Reasons to go and grab just that opportunity in the ass. This is the transition that i have always wanted.

Short Weekend Holiday, Facial & Books

I will be going to Penang this Hari Raya Haji holiday which conveniently falls on the weekend (Monday will be another day off). This time it is not for a friend's wedding. This time it is with my colleagues. Not all of them of course.

I am a little excited about it 'coz this time it's with a different group of people :)

What's new with me.

Well, my project of a paint factory is basically completed, except for some variation order work.
Now i have another small project in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan which is just around the corner from the huge bundle market. I used to follow my cousins and went there to buy cheap clothes (for them, not me).

Now i only catch up on TV shows on the weekend. I don't really watch it anymore.
Not even my pc.
Now i am on my 3rd book of George R.R. Martin.- A Storm of Sword.
Book Three: A Song of Ice and Fire (book series)

I love them. Just wish i have someone to discuss it with because i have a few questions that i need answers. i can read till 2am! With the little screen of my iphone.
I have also been frequenting beauty parlors to do my facials. And i think it shows! I've got a few positives comments from colleagues and friends. On my recent trip back to KK, my uncle even asked me if i had Botox done!!??... huh..?

Everytime i went to do my facials, these people keep persuading me to buy their product. And i have managed to fend them off. I kept reminding myself that i have my Japan trip next year and i need to save money!! MORE MONEY!!.

Absent

I know i haven't been blogging for quite some time. Truth is my work has been real hectic. And all i wanted to do whenever i reached home is to sleep it off. I haven't even had the time to do a thorough research on my trip to Japan next year.

I have another short trip back to KK in the next couple of weeks. And then one more in December. And again end of January 2012 for Chinese New Year. Fuhh...
And as the end of the year is just around the corner, a few uncertainties came over me again.

And I think my boss hates me. Since he already found someone to replace me. He has all these plans for my other colleagues. But i heard none for me. Some times i think he is irritated with my voice alone. Maybe i have been successfully brainwashed by my other colleague. Anyway, only one way to find out. Come bonus time.

Know-It-All

Recently, i was handed over a new project. And of course, along came a whole bunch of new people to deal with.

How do you provide explanations to a guy who claimed to Know-It-All ?
I was frustrated to the point where i said:-

"Since you already know everything, then what else do you want to know from us?"

I know i wasn't suppose to, but i just can't help it.

Ok.. i think that my annual leave has been approved for early august & end of august.. told boss that my father will be in town..

I am trying to sharpen up my mad avoiding skills and silent treatment (which i've learned from the best and Karma had previously taught me a lesson on this). There goes my Karma again. 

I hope lunch with Lim will not always have to be with the fishy.

Or else i am gonna involuntarily treat the fishy bad & make work at site worst than it already is for Lim & Soh. I have even considered not going to lunch just to avoid the fishy.

I was a little taken aback when another m&e MainCon actually teased me on why i didn't go out for tea with fishy when fishy asked. Well it's not my fault if fishy wanted to embarrassed himself by talking about it.

But i am not right for fishy, fishy just doesn't know it yet.

PapaRoach & Aping Coming to Town

I have been wanting to take leave for a very long time now.. so i have decided to get it on the 4-6th of August 2010 (Wed- Friday) and follow PapaRoach & Aping to Genting.. which i think that they planned on staying there on that date..

I will have to rush my work ( sub- contractor's claim & Main Con Claim) for early August as well as end of August (sub-contractors claim) for the Medan trip...

PapaRoach & Aping will be coming on a Sunday & will be staying somewhere in Star Hill.. i'm not gonna be staying with them there though... the hotel looks kinda shady for me.. & small... i'm not even sure if they have car parks for guests..

I might even drive over to Genting if i manage to borrow Pang Ko's GPS...2 more weeks to go..~~!! wohoo...

It's been so song since i fell...

I was walking out of my site this afternoon and klutz that i am, i stepped on uneven ground. I twisted my right ankle and landed on my left knee on the hard uneven cement next to the guard house.

I heard people saying.." Ooops...Oops.. Opps..Opps..." ...Hm.. i didn't really fell in a bad way though. I was handling 1 file bag and 1 big heavy purse in one hand & my safety helmet in the other.

Tore my jeans and scrapped my knee. I could only imagine the damage if i don't have the protection of my jeans.

I picked myself up knowing that i had just given a free peek at my buttcrack, undies & a hint of tatoo to the general workers there and maybe even to the Project Manager who was in his car behind me.

 I just stared straight ahead and kept walking without looking back, left or right.

 

 

New Work?

Hooi Ni ( a friend working in Singapore) called me yesterday, saying that she had submitted my resume to a fire fighting company and informed me that i should be getting an invite to an interview by next week. The company is located at Damansara. I am not familiar with Damansara but that is not the problem. In the other hand the traffic jam IS a problem. Very BAADD...

I hope i have time for the interview as my project is picking up speed this coming weeks.

The company is a fire fighting company while i am currently in a HVAC field.

Hooi Ni asked me if i really wanted to leave my current company that i have stayed on for 3 years.

I like my company, though the salary is not as i hoped it would be after working for so long. The perks:-

1) my company is strategically located in the heart of Foodland & convenience.
2) Oversea trip with the whole company.
3) Unlimited internet access.
4) Cute Colleague :)
5) Air cond sounds more superior than Fire Fighting... hehe...

Totally different from what i imagined where i would be now (workwise & lovelife) while i was still studying. I.e: 3.5k+ salary, would be madly in love with a guy who loves me as i loves him and travelling overseas on business etc.

I have an open offer from a consultant company. Saturday is an off day. Salary RM3k+. Company is at Subang.. near to where i am currently staying (compared to Damansara). But.... very tough work dealing and satisfying clients' needs & Bonus is low.. 1 month & no company trip...

Kang wanted me to come back & work in Sabah as a Medical Rep. Told me to submit my resume to MSD, i said ok... but didn't do it.. since i have to do it through their website..

I have made up my mind long ago that if i were to leave my current company, it would be because i have a better offer in salary & requires me to work in Singapore & with Saturday Off or alternately. So, lets just see how the interview goes. If i am called for.

As usual I haven’t started packing yet.. I’m not even sure how I’m suppose to go to the airport on saturday… I have a lot of things to bring over.. I sure am not taking the bus.. I should take a Taxi to Putrajaya Sentral (nearer than KJ station) and then KLIA Transit train.. but where to get the Taxi…? Puchong Utama..? Gotta ask Una if there’s any taxi there.. she seemed kind of reluctant to take me to the bus station or LRT station… asked me to go off early that day… so I just have to figure it all out myself…. bukan te biasa… Huhhu….~~

While i was happily anticipating our company dinner prior to 2010 CNY..=> Renaissance Hotel...

We were given the news that my boss is planning an internet intervention...

He's already asking around how he can block Facebook, Friendster, Youtube, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, MSN, Yahoo IM etc...

Looks like i'll be absent for a very Looooooonnnngggggg time.. once it is implemented... i may resort to getting me my own internet line/ Wifi at home... wuah.. my budget..!!

Office Feud...

I've replayed the situations so many times in my head..

It's never my intention to "F" with my admin aunty... Maybe I was a little upset about why the cheque that was supposed to be written has not been issued out yet..

I'm not sure what my reaction was...

Since i don't know what is the procedure for a certain cheque to be issued out... then teach me... i am always willing to listen and learn...

Instead of just saying.."Bos never asked me to issue out..."

"But boss sign oready o.. he also know what is the cost... and he also promised to issue the cheque out by that day... "

If she picked up the phone once in a while... then she'll know what to do... i just don't understand why she couldn't just asked Boss about the cheque since she also know about the claim that i have done...

WTH is she waiting for... ?.. If boss never said anything.. then she should just ignore everything that have been done..? If she can do the 1st claim smoothly... why not do the 2nd claim as she did the 1st one...?

Instead of telling boss in front of me saying... 'Your girl "F" me....'

I was really taken by surprise about the 'F' thing... everyone know that is short for 'f***'... i can feel that all the blood rushed up to my head.. and on the verge of tears.. but i managed to hold it in by keeping my mouth shut and just nodding & shaking my head when boss asked me questions...

This is a very small matter... that we can easily sort out amongst ourselves... we can even blame everything on boss... and save us all the awkwardnes in the office...

The really stupid thing that i did was..crying in front of boss & my sub-con..i was telling my senior Huey fen about what just happened.. i had difficulties to even explain the situations with her.... My boss heard what we were talking about and he slowed down his pace with my sub-con and putting his hand on my shoulder.. i just couldn't control it when he told me ' Mou Kem Lou Hei.." "Don't be too hotheaded..." ...'I know what happen already once i received the call (i called him to verify the cheque/ calls (maybe she called him to verify the same thing)...

The thing is i don't feel like i was being rude to her... i was actually dreading to go and ask her about the cheque... knowing that she will definitely scold me....no matter if it's my fault or not....

Huey Fen was saying i need to do it in a certain way if i wanted to ask her to do work for me...

Lim said.. he normally would wait until ah may (another admin/ account girl) to be around/free and asked her to do it...

Ah may.. was always in tears b' coz she had to do evrything in the office while aunty watched online TV series...

I just loose it right there.. " Arghh... don't look at me..:)" We were actually on our way on foot to lunch... she was way behind.. doing god knows what just to drag the time so that she wouldn't be forced to walk with me....

My sub-con said.. after knowing her for more than 10years.. he had learned to keep everything in and put on a smiling face when dealing with her..

But i made through lunch without talking to her and making eye contact....

Today is a new day.. i hope i can let bygones be bygones...~~

I got a parking again summon this morning...

This month sucks...~~

Sick...! And still am..~~

It started with a light headache in the afternoon... building up to a massive head pounding headache at nite....the nite when i was supposed to meet eja at her farewell get together...~ stayed until 1 am.. almost couldn't drive.. but i found out.. if i kept my head steady with no sudden movement... the head doesn't hurt that much...~~

The 2nd day.. i got headache everytime i started coughing... tried to hold my head still whenever i cough.. it lessened the pain a lot... So, i tried to get MC after a half day's work.. but couldn't due to site inspection & a whole lotta work filling up for CK... in my state of dizziness i left my car keys in his car after lunch.. at 6.30pm when i prepared to go back... i realized that i don't have my car keys with me.. searched the whole site offiice.. emptying my purse & pencil case.. knowing full well that i left it in CK's car...

Called him up.. asked if he could help me look..(he already reached home).. said he'll call me back once he'd done so.. it took him a while to get back to me... i guess that he probably showered before he told me he found it and asked me to wait for him... peak hour at that time.. it was around 7.30pm that he reached & called up saying 'Uncle' wanted to see him about the failed inspections... said he was wearing shorts.. i was hoping he's not wearing his cut-off jeans... which he didn't..:).. he was all clean & fresh.. i could only imagine what i must have looked like after spending the whole day at site doing inspection..

Guess what he was wearing...? a grey Liverpool t-shirt....:)... lectured by 'Uncle' until 8.30pm.. to top it off i really wanted to pee... so bad... He canselled off a few incoming calls.. which i assumed coming from his gf asking about dinner.. When 'Uncle' finally let us off .. it was already dark outside.. i thought he was in a hurry to get back to his GF for dinner.. instead.. he stopped his car by the roadside (where he normally park)... and started texting Boss about the day's problem.. i don't mind really apart from the part where i have to pee so bad that i didn't care if he took me to dinner or not... i felt calm.. there we were in the cover of nite.. with streetlights illuminating the insides of his car..~~ it was kinda romantic..~~ aiseh...!! I mean when is there ever gonna be a time such as that to ever happened again..? i could only savour it.. He took his time calling our subcond asking about the day's work... but again.. i don't mind it at all..~


Managed to get 2 days MC on Friday & Saturday... finally after 3 years.. i got my much deserved MC...i never drank so much water in my life before.. i literally felt like a fish...~~!

How o..~~?

So I'll have to pay RM967.05 to my colleague...hm.. better than RM1800+ ... huhu....~~

Now that i know about his GF... i have been making an effort to avoid unecesary contact with him..

I am still wondering how to do so ...  It is difficult because of the my work situations requires us to keep in constant contact with each other...

People have been asking him whether he has a GF or not... and he will deny it every single time... I myself never pry on his personal life...

He seems reluctant to answer too... there must be some reason why he's acting that way..

Hehe.. apa lar..why am i keeping my hope up...~~ ?? Stop It..!

I dread that he or somebody he knew will ever get to read this...~~!.. But in a way... i secretly wanted him to find out too..~~...


This blog is only a fraction of what i am really thinking... but i am starting to ease up on revealing more of myself through it...~ but slowly...~~:)

Tricky..~~

I drove my colleague's car yesterday..hehe...~~ he actually trusted me with his car.. eventhough only for a short distance... but the side parking...it's kind of tricky... i'm used to going in head first... had to make a few turns of the steering wheel before i get the perfect parking..~~ the two subcond guys sitting at the back acted as my human sensor...~

And i can hear through the phone that he was very frustrated at me for making mistakes on the beam opening...~~ :(..

TWo days till lift off....

dang...until tody, i haven't heard anything from CIMB bout my credit card...might as well throw that hopw to the wind since i only have tomorrow to settle everything.....

Things i haven't done:-
1) Pack
2) Convert Rm to AUS$
3) Settle work stuff....(never ending problem)...
4) Get better (now i have allergies that i think due to something i ate to add up to my coughing, gastric, headache.. hehe... C wai cakap.."Wuah..Banyak juga penyakit ko...")

Mamaroach/ Kang thought i might have Denggue... but impossible.. since i don't think i might be able to walk if i have denggue...


Doc said.. it's just allergy and not due to my med coz i've ever taken the meds that he gave me...gave me some cough mixture to take at higher dose and Allergy Med & Itchy Med..

I'm sure i don't have a fever now...


Ck said no need to go perth...hehe... since so many things to do... & advised me to watch "OVERHEARD".. he said nicee....~~~

Countdown continues (5 days to go)...

It's already friday... and i'm getting anxious on my credit card approval....

Still haven't heard anything from them yet...aren't they suppose to be fast/ efficient..? hm...

Lots of drawings to be submitted.. lots of VO to be submitted & discussed..

How can i have fun with all these things that haven't been settled out...

I'm already loosing sleep over these...

I skipped lunch the other day... coz, ck was busy with inspection & me with other things to do...

Then, i ate KFC at nite... wow... i had a major case of diarrhea... i guess it's gastric too... kept me up till over 3 am.... then the next day... my stomach ache like hell.. i felt like vomitting too... i did managed to stuff in a few mouthfull of ' wan tan mien' while lunching with ck...

I was thinking of taking MC, but i'm even scared of driving back... so i just stayed in site office & draw up some sectional view for thermostat position, grooveline position & LMR elevation view... felt ok after going to the loo....

Tired though...ck was a little frustrated by me.. coz i didn't tell him that the groove line was supposed to be position/ measured from the ceiling to below...

I saw that he had drawn the dimension from the Floor up... i never thought that it's not the same... tecnically, it's should be the same.. but the site condition is different from what we draw up i.e: slab thickness.. so there's an offset of 80mm.... argh...~~

Future Destination, Work & Entertainment...

I am so psyched about my going away trip this May Labor Day (Bali), August (Perth) & maybe even September (Perth..company trip...hopefully we can change the destination to other place..like Taiwan or Gold Coast)....my colleagues & I already discussed about changing the destinations & we dont mind the extra cost...:)...

With all that's going on workwise...i can't imagine how we can go on this September trip...

My bos just came back from Spain (Madrid) today... so he'll be coming in the office 2morrow... which is great coz i have some urgent matters to discuss with him...

My life nowadays is govern by work... & it really does sucks... coz I sometimes lose sleep over it...
I tried to distract myself by reading (Eragon) & watching Chuck... but even that don't help much...

So there's this SunBurst that's happening this saturday (21/3/2009)..surely I won't be going... cuz teda geng..hm... I'm interested in KORN & a little in N.E.R.D...

I already missed out on Jason Mraz... I only found out that he's in town after his concert was over... huhuu... ironically news about his appearance was in the newspaper which i left next to my bed.. i only managed to find the time to read it after 1 week...

I've watched Dragon Ball : Evolution..I find it nice... a little bit o' Matrix, Lord of The Ring &Transformer....really...

Yeay~!!

Found my file neatly tucked under a pile of documents at the main con site office...

I'm sooo happy... guess my constant prayers are answered.. there goes my birthday wish for this year..!! ehehe heck.. it's worth it...

Dumbstruck..where's my file

Gila la...how come my project file pandai hilang..?

hm...i remember that i brought it out of the meeting room... Lim even made sure i brought the duct calculator in my bag... then, i went to the site office next to the meeting roo, to save some document from winson... That's when i took out my file and put it some where (pretty sure on top of the cabinet next to Winson's desk) and took out my tiny Flashdrive...

That is also when i didn't put the file back in my bag..instead i was a little surprise by how i can fit my drawing in my bag where i couldn't previously ( didn't strike me at that time that it was because i didn't have the file with me) all these time i was walking towards my car... I was only thinking on how not to get lost when i go to CIMB in Jalan Tun Perak for my Bank Guarantee Copy...I even took my bag from the seat behind to get to my drinking bottle, which didn't cause me any trouble (again...because i don't have the file with me at that time!!! argh)...

My bag was so light when i go down to CIMB...


I only realised that i have forgotten about the file when i was walking towards my office...

Checked my car 3 times... called Winson & Lim to go n look for me..I'm really sorry that i have to ask Lim to go to Stonor site again .... And still couldn't find any white coloured file there...Really sorry Lim.. I'd go myself if i havent already reached office... he was even stuck in traffic near KLCC...

So now I can only hope that somebody will find the file & return it to me on the next meeting on Wednesday... I'm really bummed out about this.. And i have lots of paperwork to top it off..~~

At first, Winson thought that Amran from Langsutra took em by mistake since we put our stuff next to one another.. but he said he didn't take any white file.. he only took their own blue coloured file..
