We ate the IBU OKA BABI GULING at Ubud.. doesn't reached our expectatation...bought two native paintings for RPH350,000.00 which i think we were conned... Gale bought one for RPH200,000.00...
While we were walking around for souvenirs in Tanah Lot.. the guy selling the paintings (animals with fruits on their head size 150x150mm) for RPH50,000.00 per piece... so people can go there for cheap stuff...
We've had enough of temples after the first two temple..Gunung Kawi & Gao Gajah...
But Uluwatu and Tanah Lot were kinda okay...
The Kintamani volcano/ Lake Batur were a bit of a disapointment for us..coz we were expecting that we would be able to at least touch or get a feel of the "active" volcano's hardened lava or dipped our feet in the lake...
Kinda bumbed coz we're too full to go for the famous Bebek Bengil at Ubud...but we did tried the Nasi Padang at Simpang Siur near Billabong outlet at Kuta..
Went for a surfing lesson today with Gale... we were the only asians in the group...
There were a few itallian, australians and etc. We were surprised to find that the Aussies dunno how to surf.... ahhaa...
We went for a parasailing session at Nusa Dua..the sand was hot on my feet.. the sand there wasn't meant for swimming...
Should try the Flying Fish & Jet Ski next....:)..
And a lame glass boat ride... "It's like snorkeling but without getting wet"-Gale....
Even the corals looked dull..... Tioman's coral reef looks nicer...
Sipped Margarita's (LP & I)& Bloody Mary (Gale) while listening to a bad rendition of Jason Mraz I'm Yours and straight back to our hotel for the internet..
I did bought one Rock HardRock T-shirt for Wai & one Classic Hardrock T for Aping (had to owe Laipeng for these).. but none of mom's purse with lots of pockets...sorry...i'm broke....
Things we planned but didn't manage to do:-
1) Manicure/ Pedicure
2) Bali Massage
3) Bungee Jumping
4) Bebek Bengil
5) Enough Tan..(hopefully tomorrow's another day to get that tan....
If there is a next trip for us... i will do all the above and try to have a relaxing holiday that doesn't include any cultural tour....ahaha...
Most of the people here thought that we were 21 to 23 years old that made us very happy that we can still passed for that age group.. & they thought that we were Japanese people...which i don't get... maybe Gale's hair looked like those Japanese girl they often saw on TV or something..
